Gas & Water Inspector

Braxfield Recruitment are a leading recruitment agency working within the social housing sector. We have been appointed by a housing provider based in London who are looking to recruit an experience Gas & Water Inspector on a temp – perm contract.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the heating and water hygiene contracts and compliance, ensuring SLA’s and KPI targets are met along with budget management.

The role will require you to oversee plant room repairs and upgrades, managing the works being undertaken by contractors and post inspecting these to ensure compliance and value for money before signing off.

You'll play an important part in ensuring the contractors are working to schedule and to the standard agreed in the contract service level agreements. You'll have regular meetings with them to keep them informed of assessment results and to work with them to improve processes or quality where necessary.

Ideally you will have a maintenance / installation background, have the relevant domestic and commercial tickets and be gas safe registered. There is no expectation to fit or repair systems yourself but you must be able to evidence a proven track record in doing this in order to be able to assess quality and identify any potential future issues.

Exposure to the social housing sector either client or contractor side would be an advantage in order to understand the dynamics and regulation in the industry.
