Fire Safety Surveyor
Braxfield recruitment are working alongside a G15 housing association, looking for an experienced Fire Safety Surveyor to work for them on a permanent basis. This role will be paying between £40,000 - £50,000 per annum. Although mainly based in the office which is located in North West London, there will be the requirement to attend site when required. This includes visits within London, Berkshire and Essex.
The successful Fire Safety Surveyor will be responsible for providing technical advice, surveying and contract administration and support services to service, repair and maintain full legal and service standard to Fire Safety Systems servicing, testing and maintenance. The role responsibilities include the M&E management of fire alarms, fire extinguishers, and sprinkler systems throughout the One Housing portfolio.
The duties of this role will be as follows:
- Responsible for carrying out surveying, co-ordinating with other functions as appropriate.
- Manage the implementation of the PPM programme.
- Manage the supervision and management of maintenance and PPM contracts, including monitoring of OPIs and KPI, ensuring all compliance targets are met.
- Provide expertise to new business / development on new capital projects as required, including providing expertise as necessary to any formal complaints procedure
- Assist on provision of security system advice, including inputting into the formal complaints procedure.
The successful Fire Safety Surveyor will be provided with the following benefits:

About you – The ideal Fire Safety Surveyor:
- Must have demonstrable track record of training, experience and expertise in Fire safety system maintenance.
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
- Must have strong contract management experience.
- Social housing experience is preferred but not essential.
