Braxfield Recruitment are a leading recruitment agency working within the social housing sector. We have been appointed by a G15 housing provider based in South London who are currently looking to recruit an experienced Employment Support Officer on an interim contract.
Our client is looking for passionate individuals who will provide their resident with support, advice and guidance and assist them into employment.
You will be responsible for delivering high quality advice and guidance to ensure customers have the right skills to enter employment, as well as helping them to identify the issues facing them so they can make sound decisions concerning their future.
You will work with customers and create and develop individual action plans and setting and achieving goals in order to support them into training and provide a range of interventions including employability, confidence and motivation workshops, and job clubs.
Other duties as an Employment Support Officer will include:- Providing ongoing support to residents who secure work through regular in-work support interventions.
- Using a variety of techniques to diagnose customers' need for support, referring to specialists where necessary to assist in tackling any barriers and achieving their personal goals.
- Providing in-work support to all customers who have recently gained employment. This is a fantastic opportunity to utilise your extensive skills and experience to really make a difference for people's lives.
To be considered for the position of Employment Support Officer you must have the following:
- Previous experience supporting residents into employment or voluntary work.
- Working towards or be qualified in Advice & Guidance.
- Ability to build and maintain trust and demonstrate an organise and methodical approach in recording and monitoring outputs against agreed targets.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Immediate available to start or on 1 week notice.

Rate: £18.01 PAYE - £22.82 LTD
