Asbestos Surveyor

Braxfield Recruitment are a leading recruitment agency working within the property management sector. We have been appointed by a Housing Association in East London to help them to find an asbestos surveyor to join them. 

The asbestos surveyor role involves carrying out asbestos surveys and re-inspections in residential housing, communal areas and associated buildings such as garages and other outbuildings. It will require taking samples and sending these off to obtain laboratory test results together with overseeing asbestos removal by appointed contractors and ensuring the Asbestos Register is regularly and accurately updated.

The post will require someone with a track record of delivering allocated projects to time, quality and budget, whilst ensuring a high quality of work output and customer satisfaction levels. The post holder will also be asked to use their expertise to advise on larger projects such as major works to street level properties or block refurbishments as and when required to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and best practice/processes.

To be considered for the asbestos surveyor role candidates must hold BOHS P402 Surveys & Bulk Sampling and have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a lead surveyor.
