- Braxfield Recruitment are a leading recruitment agency working within the property management sectors. We have been appointed by a housing association that are looking for an Interim M&E Surveyor with an electrical bias (Ventilations and heating experience) to join their team.
They have a programme of works to upgrade and / or replace ventilation systems and fire alarm systems and as such are looking for someone who has previously managed these types of projects from design and specification through to managing the contractors carrying out the works on site.
The successful M&E Surveyor / Electrical Ventilations Inspector will be both office and site based travelling from place to place by public transport or via their own vehicle. Whilst on site they will be quality controlling the work carried out by specialist contractors ensuring that it is being undertaken in line with the specification and within the agreed timeframe.
The M&E Surveyor / Electrical Ventilations Inspector will work with the contractors to ensure value for money and agree any interim and final payments together with requested variations.
It is essential that the M&E Surveyor / Electrical Ventilations Inspector has prior experience of managing similar projects on residential properties whether client side with a housing association / council or working with a contractor or consultancy.
Relevant electrical qualifications will be required together with a good working knowledge around ventilation and fire / smoke alarm systems.
As our client is a private sector organisation the appointed M&E Inspector will be able to work outside of IR35 if preferred.
