Head of Delivery (Construction)

Braxfield recruitment are currently working alongside a G15 housing association and we have been appointed to recruit an ambitious and efficient Head of Delivery. The purpose of the role is to drive the delivery of projects and monitor performance with the Commercial and property director and manage internal and external teams to ensure successful delivery of construction projects from start to finish.

The successful Head of Delivery will be responsible for tasks such as:

  • Manage internal and external teams to ensure the successful delivery of construction projects from start on site and controlling schemes through the build phase until PC is achieved and a successful fully signed off handover is completed.
  • Prepare monthly board papers to internal committees to update the Senior Leadership Team on any key issues, progress and performance and deputise for the Commercial and Property Director at meetings if required.
  • Ensure the health and safety of sites within management and report any concerns immediately.
  • Play a key role in developing project briefs by working collaboratively with Land and New Business teams and Pre- construction teams.
  • Provide advice on outline and detailed scheme proposals, consulting with others as necessary.
  • Monitor progress, quality and general performance of the contractor and consultants to ensure quality and inform future selection from the framework.
  • Work with the team to ensure they are undertaking scheme specific financial tasks in a systematic and diligent manner to meet monthly reporting targets. These tasks include, but are not limited to the following: monitor schemes to ensure we are meeting / exceeding expected sales values and approved profit levels / hurdle rates.
  • Have a strong personal presentation which contributes to the professional image of the organisation.
  • Take responsibility for suggesting improvements/amendments and new development policies, procedures, protocols to improve our development performance and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our teams.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties as required.

The successful Head of Delivery will be offered the following:
