Braxfield Recruitment are supporting a leading Social Housing provider who have a vacancy for a Fire Safety Inspector to join the planned works team. The housing provider have properties across Greater London and the Home Counties.
The Fire Safety Inspector is an interesting role within the organisation and comprises some quality assurance work, contract and project management and also some training and sharing of good practice.
The housing provider currently use appointed specialist consultants to carry out fire risk assessments to the housing stock. A part of the Fire Safety Inspectors role will be to quality check a percentage of the assessments to ensure they are accurate and that the recommendations made are relevant and valid. The successful candidate will also be responsible for overseeing the passive and active works identified by the fire risk assessments, working with the contractors to make sure these are carried out on time and within the agreed cost.
In addition to the above the Fire Safety Inspector will occasionally deliver fire safety training to a variety of internal and external stakeholders, to tailor training to the audience to cover domestic fire safety, communal fire safety and passive fire protection. They will also be expected to provide clear and concise advice to staff, contractors and customers on Fire Safety best practice.
