Regional Development Manager

Braxfield Recruitment are a leading recruitment agency working within the social housing sector. We have been appointed by a G15 housing association based with housing stock across the country, who are currently looking to recruit a Regional Development Manager on a contract basis, this will be until the end of March 2020.

The successful candidate will be working closely with the New Business, Regeneration, Land, Commercial & Sales teams as well as colleagues in housing, asset management and repairs.

You will also contribute to the successful operation of the wider regional development teams and be responsible for managing and maintaining relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including Local Authorities, contractor/developer partners and consultants.

The Regional Development Manager will liaise with the Partnerships, Land and Regeneration teams to enable new homes to be developed and ensure that new opportunities are promptly brought into contract and start on site is achieved.

Other duties of the Development Manager will include:

  • Prepare written and verbal reports for internal Boards, Panels and Committees and other internal stakeholders, when required.
  • Proactively manage projects to meet internal and external delivery targets. Monitor and manage project delivery risks to ensure that agreed outcomes are maintained and the project remains within agreed budgets.
  • Manage the relationships with solicitors, consultants and contractors appointed throughout the development process in accordance with departmental and Group policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with Group policies and regulatory requirements in all areas of your responsibility including Health & Safety, Environmental and Equality & Diversity, etc.

To be considered for this post you must have the following:

  • Experience of appraising and acquiring land for development in either the RP of private sector. Knowledge and understanding of the relationship between capital and revenue costs, development appraisal criteria and cost control.
  • Experience of successfully delivering projects throughout the development process to agreed targets and able to perform a variety of complex technical, professional or financial activities.
  • Proven track record of cross team working and cooperation across the business.
  • An understanding of delivering phased development or regeneration projects.
  • Experience across a range of tenures including low cost home ownership, rented, market sale housing, and commercial tenures.

 

 

Job title: Regional Development Manager             

Location: Based in Bishops Stortford, various sites across Essex, Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Norfolk, Suffolk.

Contract: 3 Months, ending March 2020

Pay rate: £460.00 Per Day LTD / £360.00 Per Day
