Fire Management Advisor

Braxfield are working with a G15 Housing Association in London who are looking to appoint a Fire Management specialist to support the fire management team.

The core purpose of the role as Fire Management Specialist is to provide expert fire risk advice to support the organisation in delivering best possible practice around fire management to their residents properties. This will include but will not be limited to:

• Validating fire risk assessments carried out by third party consultancies. This will be captured by both office audits and on-site re-inspections. This is to ensure that properties are being assessed for their compliance against fire risks correctly. Experience of carrying out fire risk inspections is therefore essential as is a good understanding of PAS79 and building pathology.
• Meeting with the LFB to discuss recommendations made.
• Emergency inspections of mid and high-rise blocks.
• Providing advice on the management and urgency of risks identified.

As a Fire Management Specialist you will be well organised and able to manage your own diary on a day to day basis prioritising workloads in a sensible manor to make sure that more urgent issues receive your immediate attention. 

If you have previous experience within fire management perhaps as a Fire Risk Surveyor carrying out fire risk assessments and are looking for a long term contract where what you do can make a difference then this role could well be for you.

The hourly / day rate is negotiable and subject to a conversation with Braxfield recruitment prior to being put forward to the position.
