Stock Condition Surveyor

Braxfield Recruitment are a leading property recruitment agency that have been appointed by a large Housing Association to source a Stock Condition Surveyor to join their Asset Management Team.

The role involves surveying residential properties to collate data, reporting on a wide range of property information on the Housing Associations portfolio to facilitate:

• The information used for property option appraisals - to ensure properties are utilised to their maximum potential.
• The production of accurate major works programmes.
• The production of accurate cost information for leaseholders, prospective purchasers and finance department.
• The production of the Group’s ‘Decent Homes Standard’ position.
• The production of accurate RdSAP information.
• The evidencing of compliance with statutory legislation.
• The production of accurate KPI reports.

The ideal candidate will have previously carried out stock condition surveys for a social housing provider or consultancy firm acting on their behalf. They will also need to have an excellent knowledge of the Decent Homes Standard, Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) and an understanding of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. RdSAP ratings will also need to be assessed and so previous experience of carrying these out would be seen as beneficial.

Our client is looking for someone who is good at working autonomously managing their day to day surveys themselves. The majority of the stock is located within Camden and Tower Hamlets and so once in the areas the successful candidate can use public transport rather than using a vehicle if they prefer. You don't need to be an admin guru for this one either as you will have support in this area. The main experience required is the stock condition surveying.
