Braxfield Recruitment are a leading recruitment agency working within the social housing sector. We have been appointed by a housing provider based in London who are currently looking to recruit an experience Service Charge Analyst.
As a Service Charge Analyst, you will be responsible for the following:
- Day to day management of the third-party billing agents.
- Detailed analysis of the data on performance to provide clear updates on performance.
- Review of existing contractual relationships, contract management, maximising income recovery through billing agents or otherwise.
- Complete a housekeeping exercise to separate third party income and costs from general utility suppliers.
- Produce a monthly reconciliation of third party income and costs and details of monthly accruals for the management accounts.
- Prepare budget and forecast data for the utility costs.
- Ensure income and costs are correctly coded in the accounting ledgers.
- Ensuring compliance with the Heating Network (Billing and Metering) Regulations 2014.
- Enforcing contractual terms with the third-party billing agents.
- Reviewing current Communal Heating Plant (CHP) arrangements with billing agents, make and implement improvements that will benefit customers and maximise cost recovery.
- Assisting with the efficient and effective collection of service charges for all properties by ensuring the accuracy of charges and assisting in the resolution of disputes and queries.
To be considered for the position of Service Charge Analyst you must have the following:- Good level of IT skills and literacy; proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Highly numerate and excellent skills in working with data, analysis and contract management.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to provide an excellent customer focused service.
- Contract and budget management.
- Knowledge of property management and experience of calculating and issuing property charges, including services and rents.
- Knowledge of leases, tenancies, legislation and case law in relation to service charges and rents.
- Very good IT skills generally and specifically in relation to Excel and BlueBox.
- Experience of producing statistical reports, KPIs and ensuring delivery with performance targets.

Rate: £16.50 PAYE / £20.39 LTD
