- Braxfield are working exclusively with a Local Authority in North London who are looking for a Fire Risk Surveyor to carry out fire risk assessments to residential housing stock.
The core purpose of the role as Fire Risk Surveyor is to ensure that properties are being assessed for their compliance against fire risks and therefore making sure they are safe, completing the assessment and returning this with your recommendations of works needing to be undertaken. Experience of carrying out fire risk inspections is therefore essential as is a good understanding of PAS79 and building pathology.
As a Fire Risk Surveyor you will need to be well organised and able to manage your own diary on a day to day basis prioritising workloads in a sensible manor to make sure that more urgent issues receive your immediate attention.
The stock is all located in North London and so using public transport to get around day-to-day will be absolutely fine rather than your own vehicle. It is though fine to use your own vehicle too if you would prefer to.
If you have previous experience as a Fire Risk Surveyor carrying out fire risk assessments and are looking for a long term contract where what you do can make a difference then this role could well be for you.
The hourly / day rate is negotiable and subject to a conversation with Braxfield recruitment prior to being put forward to the Local Authority. It is expected that the day rate will fall under IR35 but we are yet to have this confirmed.
