M&E / Compliance Surveyor

£38.5 - £40.7k

The Organisation

A Social Housing provider with properties throughout Surrey, particularly around Kingston, New Malden, Surbiton, Chessington and out to the M25.

The Role

A very interesting opportunity has arisen for someone to join a fantastic housing provider to manage the day-to-day compliance in the property services team.

This really will be a very exciting and varied role managing contractors and works across multiple disciplines including fire risk, gas, asbestos, legionella, electrical testing and lifts. Of course, we don't expect you to be a master of all but you will need to be either gas safe registered or have City and Guilds 2394 & 2395. Training and support will be given in other areas like asbestos and courses funded for P402 accreditation if this is not already in place.

Gas safety and/or electrical testing in dwellings and communal parts, testing of lightning conductors, emergency lighting and electrical circuits is required hence the need for one or other qualification.

The Person

Ideally you will have a background in gas or electrical testing/inspection and have a good understanding of both areas. As said above, you'll need to be either Gas Safe registered or hold City and Guilds 2394 & 2395. Exposure to contract management and other compliant areas such as legionella, lift management and / or asbestos would also be beneficial although we would stress that in these areas, it is purely managing the contractors and consultancies rather than actually doing the works or inspections.

In Summary

Want a diverse interesting role in M&E, have access to the South West of London, have the qualifications above and a background in domestic property compliance then this role could certainly be for you.

It's not for the faint hearted though as there will be lots do across multiple disciplines but if you want a challenge and the promise of ongoing training in perhaps slightly less familiar areas like asbestos / legionella then please do apply and we'll get back to you with feedback at the earliest opportunity.
